From 1998 to 2010 – HCI in its prior form was run out of the pocket of its founder, Raymond Richardson who along with other HCI family members from Investment Bankers to Corporate Executives – partnered with him to assist black entrepreneurs and black run companies at no charge to those founders and companies. That demonstrates a tenacious passion and commitment of bringing value to black owned/run businesses. Indeed, HCI held conferences around the United States and Europe during that time period to put forward black entrepreneurs to be able to present their value proposition and have the opportunity to gain access to Venture Capital firms, Wealthy Individuals and Supply Chain representatives.

Deploying our expertise, we work in partnership with our portfolio companies to drive impactful and positive change by sharing knowledge and encouraging a free-flowing learning culture – gaining from each other’s expertise, exposure and experiences. Indeed, we encourage our portfolio companies to communicate with each other and exchange learnings and share insights.
