National Implications
The HCI is seeking to break barriers in the financial markets and the capital raising ecosystem that the Civil Rights movement broke through in Public Accommodations and the Voting Rights Act broke through in Politics. The HCI will be a vehicle to put forth black entrepreneurs from all over the nation to be able to be seen by audiences that they would not have been able to access. Similar to what Charles S. Johnson did for such artistic titans such as Langston Hughes and Roland Hayes, the HCI will provide a national stage for entrepreneurs and the entrepreneurs will get to bring new concepts, technologies, ingenuity, new and expanded culture to audiences that will see the value and market benefits from the creative business and commerce new engines that will be coming forth.
We are a service business and we are stagehands addressing a wide-open segment – black businesses.
“Now is the accepted time, not tomorrow, not some more convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done and not some future day or future year. It is today that we fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes the harvest and the playtime.” Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois
