HCI Solution

“Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced.” James Baldwin
Often Black Entrepreneurs Have Merit, but too often they are Invisible and Unconnected

Blacks and other under-represented entrepreneurs often possess significant merit and unparalleled talent that would elevate them to the elite of their pursuits but unlike their exceptional peers from the majority community in North America, blacks too often are invisible and unconnected to the resources of the decision makers
HCI will actively partner with a diverse set of entrepreneurs including early-stage startups with novel concepts or building breakthrough technologies, fast growing companies, and established firms
- HCI will provide mentorship, advice and guidance
- Peer-to-Peer Mentoring: start-ups and portfolio companies mentor each other but all receive a mentor from an established company
- HCI will assist founders and owner/operator teams with the insights of our network of corporate executives, business leaders, investment bankers, investors and supply-chain partners
- We will boost the visibility of promising entrepreneurs and elevate their credibility and social acceptance
- HCI will offer a direct and reliable route to investment
- We are long-term thinkers. As a result, we will sometimes support and source investment opportunities that go against the prevailing assumptions
- We will seek to influence our investor partners and business leaders to continuously test hypotheses and we will pride ourselves on maintaining openness to experimentation that can lead to long-term breakthrough performance
- The HCI intends to be the “first point of call” for black, brown and women entrepreneurs who demonstrate ingenuity and innovation – whether it’s a new technology or a novel concept
The false narrative that blacks haven’t made positive game-changing economic impacts needs to be corrected!
