Gap HCI Addresses

HCI is building a platform and network to support and promote black owned businesses to help them gain access to capital and new markets. Black owned companies continue to face barriers in relation to access to finance, the often narrow markets and sectors that they serve. Initial under-capitalization has a long-term effect constraining future business growth, not least because under-capitalization may mire the firms in sub-optimal scales, which leave them more susceptible to failure. HCI will provide mentoring, referrals, new markets and sales channels, mentoring and business support. HCI will provide entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their value proposition to wealthy individuals, family investment officers, venture capital and private equity firms and supply chain partners (e.g., advertising agencies, distribution firms, media placement agencies).

“I have the nerve to walk my own way, however hard, in my search for reality, rather than climb upon the rattling wagon of wishful illusions.” Zora Neale Hurston
